Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a session with Mattie Genaux Photography?
Either call the office, email, or message our FB business page. We will get your selected date and time slot chosen and your name in the calendar. New clients will need to provide their name, phone number, and email address to set up their account. Regular sessions all require a $20 retainer fee to secure their time slot. Special sessions or holiday minis might require specific retainers. These retainers can be paid either online or in person.

WHEN CAN I VIEW MY IMAGES?
We at MGP pride ourselves in being the most professional and expedient studio in our area.
Our in person gallery reviews are scheduled 4-7 days after your session date. During your gallery review we will walk you through the whole process and help you narrow down your favorite images. Every family is different so we make sure your order contains only the products you love!
For online gallery reviews they release on a preset date. This date is given to you at the time of your session, as well as your private online web address.

Do you have any props?
Of course! Our studio is fully equipped with outfits for newborns and certain sizes for older children. We also have maternity gowns and gowns for new mothers. Our collection also includes various baskets and buckets, chairs of all sizes, wings, banners, and a hoarders amount of baby wraps!
Do you charge more over a selected amount of people?
No! Whether your family is just a family of 2 or a family of 6 we do not make our clients choose who to leave off the family photos! Your session is YOUR session. We include grandparents for generation photos at no extra charge. If other family sections are added on we do require you to book a Large family session instead. That is our only requirement!
When should I schedule my newborn session?
ASAP! Newborn sessions typically last almost 2 hours. With this in mind we make sure we have certain time slots available for those sessions. While babies can be unpredictable (especially their birth) we soft book newborns when their arrival date is uncertain. Each mother is put on an expectant baby list which lets our studio know during which times of the month we need to schedule more lightly. As newborns are only tiny for a very short time we want to make sure we have the time set aside to capture those details!
What is the difference between prints & digitals?
Prints are images that you select for us to have printed from a professional photography lab. These are physical products such as prints, albums, canvas, etc.
Digital images are NOT physical products, but the digital version of the photograph. These are what you would select if you wanted to be able to print the images yourself, from a lab you choose. They also can be shared on social media, sent to friends & family or simply kept as a digital counterpart to the physical image.
